Feeding Louisiana received a $300,000 Louisiana Blue Foundation grant to help food banks meet rising demand following SNAP reductions, higher food prices, and increased need statewide.

When the federal shutdown disrupted SNAP benefits, Louisiana families faced urgent food insecurity. State support helped food banks respond, but ongoing donations, volunteering, and advocacy are still needed statewide.

Hunger relief advocates will gather at the Louisiana State Capitol on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, to raise awareness about food insecurity in Louisiana. Anti-Hunger Day at the Capitol is presented by Feeding Louisiana and the Louisiana Anti-Hunger Coalition and is sponsored by No Kid Hungry Louisiana.
