Jenée Slocum

Ensuring individuals can live their best lives—with dignity, stability, and opportunity—is the connective tissue of Jenée’s professional and personal life. Advancing Feeding Louisiana’s anti-hunger agenda by strengthening alignment across communications, advocacy, and resource development, is her idea of meaningful work.

Jenée is a results-driven executive with nearly 30 years of experience bringing people and resources together to advance the public good. Her career spans senior roles in economic development, workforce policy, and advocacy, where she built coalitions, shaped data-driven agendas, and moved public systems from talk to action.

She also spent significant time living and working abroad, which gives her a unique perspective. Jenée speaks three languages fluently, including Portuguese and Spanish, thanks to her time living in Honduras, Argentina, and Brazil. She now lives in Baton Rouge, LA, with her teenage son.
