Senior Box Program CSFP

Supporting Seniors in Need

Poor nutrition can drastically affect the health of senior citizens, who are more susceptible to a variety of health problems related to an inadequate diet. Feeding Louisiana, the state association of Food Banks, currently holds the CSFP contract with the State of Louisiana.  Via the five Food Banks, they provide boxes of nutritious food each month to low-income seniors, many of whom live in isolated, rural communities. More than 30,000 seniors receive a box monthly at sites throughout the state.
