Investing in Local Food Procurement

Delivering More Food Across Louisiana

Feeding Louisiana secures private and public dollars and passes them directly to the five regional food banks for food procurement, prioritizing nutritious staples, Louisiana-grown produce, and Louisiana-raised proteins. This pass-through model stretches purchasing power, accelerates distribution, and ensures equitable access across parishes with strong fiscal oversight and reporting.

Nourish Louisiana: Investing In Local

In 2025, the Louisiana Legislature appropriated $1 million solely to purchase local products and protein from small-scale Louisiana farmers. Feeding Louisiana administers these funds to strengthen local agriculture and move high-quality food to neighbors quickly through our statewide food bank network.
